In that 35-year period, I was the owner/chef of an Italian restaurant in the heart of historic downtown Franklin for 16 years. Spring Hill TN is a city in Williamson County, Tennessee, United States. The population was 6,085 as of the 2010 census. It is part of the Nashville metropolitan area.

Spring Hill was first settled in 1806 by John Camfield and Joseph Camfield, who were brothers-in-law and sons of pioneer settler James Camfield. The town was known as "Camfield's Spring" until 1816 when it was renamed for its spring-fed creek; during this period it served as an overnight stop for travelers along the Natchez Trace. The first permanent settlers arrived in 1819, and a post office was established in 1823; by 1827 the population had grown to 75 residents. In 1828 the town received its first charter from the state legislature; its first mayor was John W. Carter.

During the Civil War, Confederate General Nathan Bedford Forrest led his cavalry through Spring Hill on their way to attack Fort Donelson just across the border in Kentucky; after capturing Fort Donelson in February 1862 he returned with his troops to Spring Hill to rest and refit before returning to Kentucky again to fight Union forces at Shiloh in April 1862.
